This is actually a blind in my own home. I love the way that during the early hours of the morning, the dawn sun shines through the blind and in a shadow puppet type of way shows off the brass hare, the ornaments and the foliage in the front garden
Roman Blinds can be a very straightforward and clean look to a window, although this one has a pelmet above it, as I love experimenting and have to do that on my own home! Roman blinds don't take much fabric to make. So on that front cost less than curtains. This one is made from a double width synthetic velvet. Another experiment with a new fabric I saw.
